LG2627 This is a package deal, rifle and 500 round case of Russian Steel Case ammo. Here is one of only a few China-made SKS Rifles to come in through Arizona Importer B-West, of all the glut of similar rifles in the early 1990s. From this one’s III serial number prefix, we hazard it was manufactured in 1993. Type is SKS Semi-Automatic Rifle with 20 inch blued barrel and bayonet lug. We do not have the bayonet, and since this rifle’s exclusive home domicile has been in Connecticut, it probably never had one in that state. We remember very clearly when the orders came down from the Clinton Administration to remove the bayonets off our SKS rifles, and we always assigned it to fear of ride-by stabbings. At any rate, this is a very nice rifle, as sharp as most of the new ones we sold in abundance in the early 1990s. Surface detractions only amount to faint edge whitening on its blued surfaces, and the plain oil finish to the Chinese hardwood is much better than most new SKSs of the period, or to their Yugo competitors nowadays.
