GI style hammer. Smooth face “long” trigger. Vertical cocking serrations. Fixed rear sight with front blade. Smooth front and back strap. This commemorative pistol with a roll engraved slide, high polished blue Etched on the left side of the slide is an engraving of a battle scene from the Battle of the Marne and the “Rampant Colt” logo is just behind the cocking serrations. Additionally, the smooth hardwood grips with recessed “World War 1” bronze medallion and “Battle of the Marne” placard. The right side of the slide is emblazoned with a “World War I Commemorative 1” scroll. The grips medallion is the obverse of the medallion with a “doughboy” and listing of the allied nations involved in the “Great War for Civilization”. Serial number 5716-H2.
