In an effort to ramp production, Colt used a limited number of commercial slides for the military pistols starting with serial number 340000. While performing this restoration we used a commerial slide, with the appropriate markings from that period, to complete the gun. Restoration work also included a full metal polish, re-stamping and re-rolling of all original markings, charcoal blue finish, and new grips.
