A collins bowie knife with sheath, the knife is in excellent condition with no damage (the tip is slightly worn down...see photos) and all the fittings are tight. There are no cracks or chips in the handle however one corner is worn down (see photos) The leather of the sheath is still supple and has no damage other than a two inch tear at the throat and some age crazings. I bought this at a local estate sale and I am not a knife collector nor am I very knowledgeable about bowie knives. I have looked very closely at this item and it appears old and original to my untrained eye. The only infromation I could get from the estate was that it had been in the family a long time.
