Description: Here is the best service revolver in its caliber ever, the Smith & Wesson .38 Special Military and Police, numbered model 64-3. Specs on this revolver are traditional double and single action; caliber .38 Special and rated for +P loads; 4 inch heavy barrel; entire stainless steel construction with satin stainless .265 service hammer and matching .312 smooth combat trigger. Sights are fixed notch rear and serrated ramp front sight with wide rib on the heavy barrel. Frame type is K, medium frame with true square butt smooth surface grip frame. Grips are new Hogue Combat. Weight empty is 34 1/2 ounces. All firearms are dangerous, but this type is the least dangerous. A person can tell whether it is loaded by seeing the case heads on the back of the cylinder. Since it has internal transfer bar safety device, the firing pin cannot contact the primer unless the trigger is fully depressed. In the minds of inexperienced firearms shoppers, this revolver is too big; many folk, especially of the fairer gender, think that a small handgun won't produce recoil and a big one will, but they are in error on that opinion. Even the most novice shooters have produced respectable accuracy, even on double action, with the heavy barrel model 64. And its weight and balance make it one of the most pleasant and user friendly firearms ever. This specimen of the model 64, third engineering change, was manufactured early in 1987 from its AUD prefix. It served and protected our fellow Americans during its career, and it has been well maintained and not abused. It has been professionally refinished to matte stainless and residual surface scours from its law enforcement career are minimal or negligible. Few if any +P rounds have been fired in this revolver, attest the negligible blast effect to the under side of the frame top strap. It is excellent mechanically; bore, chamber, and mechanism are all bright, clean, and excellent. Double action trigger pull is smooth and consistent, and the hammer travels an additional five degrees on all six positions after the cylinder times into place. On single action, the hammer travels an additional twenty degrees on all six after timing, and the single action trigger pull is a crisp 3 1/16 pounds. Cylinder face to forcing cone gap is a very tight .002. We are including a North Carolina Department of Corrections lined leather G&G concealment holster, a $60 replacement value item. Own this fine, attractive Reagan Era Smith & Wesson .38 Special Military & Police Stainless Heavy Barrel for only $ 339.95. Not transferable to civilians in California, D.C., or Massachusetts. Prepaid freight if we keep the holster. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Handguns: $15 flat fee shipping to the lower 48 states; $20 to Alaska, Hawaii or Puerto Rico. Don't let your buddies use your account. Registered user must be the buyer, with his or her own money. Buying firearms and related items for other people can result in felony charges. Don't try, either, to circumvent any law; for example, a California civilian may not buy a high capacity magazine and have it shipped to his brother-in-law in Nevada. That is a felony.
GA Pay buyers are NOT charged until we confirm we have the item and are ready to ship it. The same thing is true for phone-in, fax-in, and mail-in payments. In this respect, and in several others, Guns America outshines all its competitors. This is the best firearms website there is, hands down.
