True magnum performance from a rifle with OAL the same or shorter than many "standard" rifles. The uniform powder burn and intrinsic efficiency in the mechanics of lighting off the short mag's powder charge give you a very gentle felt-recoil. I did not just read that, I have owned .300 and .270 WSMs and shot them extensively since they were introduced in 2000 and 2003 or 2004 respectively. Here is the ultimate mountain or long range rifle, that doesn't need truck axle for a barrel or a caisson to rest the rifle upon. Choose a good 150 grain bullet, and hunt anything you like.
