Here is an excellent product from the cooperative manufacturing genius of the two best names in firearms, Walther and Smith & Wesson. This is the SW99 service size, .45 ACP Caliber, 10 shot with Factory Night Sights. It is in its original box, papers and spare mainspring housing, and it even has its original set of 3-dot non-luminous sights that can replace the night sights. It only has, however, one of its two original 9 round magazines, manufactured in Italy by Mec-Gar for Smith & Wesson. Fired brass is dated June 20, 2005; and the frame is marked Made in Germany. This pistol served with distinction on the New Brighton, Minnesota Police Department. This pistol is the SW 99 Q A, with integral picatinny accessory rail on the frame. It is superior to many of its polymer competitors in that the slide engages a cocking mechanism that allows for a very light single action type trigger pull, under 6 pounds. The apparatus on the upper left side of the slide is a built-in decocking type device that restores the trigger pull to a long 12 pound pull. Factory Product Code is 420207. We consider this SW99 to be in Excellent Condition. It has very faint amounts of whitening on its sight edges, and moderate scuffing on its grip area. We rate it as Excellent 90 percent, but photos should suffice for prospective owners to judge finish grade for themselves. Its night sights are about 70 percent full strength by our estimate, perhaps even more. Since night sights normally retain their luminosity for 12 years, these Trijicons have plenty of good service left. Barrel is 4 inches long, and weight empty with magazine is 26 oz. Note the period appropriate flat blue S&W box. It has its instruction manual and fired brass envelope. Replacement price on this pistol, if a person can even find one, is upwards of $700 in our area.
