XBHPA From among a group of Israeli Issue FN Browning Hi-Power Pistols comes this full barrel and slide assembly, complete with guide rod and spring. The principal detraction is a hairline crack on the slide descending from the lower right hand corner of the ejection port; and on the barrel a similar crack on the barrel lug ascending on the right side toward the chamber from the cam slot. Guide rod and spring are perfect. Serial number of the barrel itself includes an NZ date code, manufactured in 1990; and the slide’s 87000 range number dates it to the early 1950s, possibly an English Contract slide. Bore on the barrel is good, with some etchy texture but no outright conspicuous pitting. We hazard that this barrel – slide assembly was damaged by firing one too many black tip Uzi Carbine Load +P+ rounds in it. There is no evidence of squib or swelling to the barrel other than the crack on the lug. Slide finish shows perhaps 60 percent bluing with brown and gray, and some superficial pitting on its muzzle end. Barrel surfaces are Very Good to Excellent in our view. Photos ought to suffice for our shoppers to see the cracks and judge finish grade for themselves. We are selling these parts strictly as they are, damaged condition. A competent gunsmith could judge whether they are usable; but we are neither competent nor gunsmiths, so we will not accept any returns on this assembly.
