This is a Type II Variation IV in EXCELLENT condition. Finish is original and (IMO), I rate it at 99+%. The grips are also EXCELLENT. The bore is like new, shinny, sharp rifling and NO pitting. Either unfired or fired very little. I would say that it spent most of it time under a pillow or in a nightstand drawer. Actual pistol is much better than the photos show. Serial number is 3373. Smith & Wesson manufactured 8,350 of these pistols from 1913 - 1921. It would be very hard to upgrade this collectible. I have A copy of the original SATURDAY EVENING POST advertisement dated January 31, 1914 that I will include with the pistol. I also have four boxes of original cartridges in the original boxes but am not ready to sell until I find out how to ship them.
