Description: .44 caliber, serial number 21737, all matching numbers, A project gun that just needs a little work, 8" barrel, missing the loader, needs a tune-up of the hammer notches so that it will stay cocked. Indexing may also need a tune-up, works half the time. Four screw frame is well marked with COLTS PATENT, and ADDRESS COL. SAML. COLT NEW-YORK U.S. AMERICA rolled on the top of the barrel. Rifled bore appears ok, rust present, lands are good, but may clean better. Grips show wear, but are completely intact. A classic Civil War arm, worth a lot more when restored.
