These are the last of the true rollmark Colt's and the quality is just amazing. Internally, these are really Series 70 guns as there is NO PLUNGER or internal Series 80 safety as it came from Colt. This gun is just excellent, investment grade condition. These 38 Super Combat Commanders are rarer than one would think. I have not heard of any hard production numbers, but I have only seen maybe a dozen or so for sale in the last 10 years. This particular gun has not had more than a mag or two through it, it is just excellent original, unmolested condition. Comes with it's original two factory Colt 9rd magazines, as shown. It has a couple of very tiny scratches on the right and left side of the muzzle and small mark on the right top edge of the rear sight, but both are very minor, as shown in the photos. Bore and action are as new. I have owned several of these early 80's Commanders and this is by far the best condition one. Only selling because I found something I have been seeking for a long time.
