One of two different consecutively serial numbered pairs of 1978 mfg. Colt SAA revolvers I have for sale. All(4)revolvers are Colt factory engraved and NIB condition. Cylinders are unturned. This pair consists of class "C" and class "D" engraved revolvers with 5-1/2" barrels. Both have original Colt blue finish and case color hardening. These revolvers include the original Colt matching numbered boxes and paperwork shown. The other pair of consecutively serial numbered revolvers being sold are also listed on Guns America in a separate listing with a separate price. Those revolvers, when added to this pair, would result in (4) consecutively serial numbered revolvers with "A", "B", "C" and "D" engraving. "A" engraving covers about 25% of the surface. "B" engraving covers about 50% of the surface. "C" engraving covers about 75% of the surface. "D" engraving covers about 100% of the surface. This "C & D" engraved pair of revolvers was part of a 4-gun special order through the Colt Custom shop in 1978. I have split that 4-gun shipment into two separate lots to keep the cost down and make it possible to have a consecutive pair of revolvers. Anyone wishing to have all (4) consecutively serial numbered revolvers may purchase each pair separately. Obviously, the "C & D" pair will be priced higher than the "A & B" engraved pair. This is the only group of consecutively numbered SAA revolvers I have ever had with A, B, C and D engraving. Please contact me with any questions. 01 FFL required. 3-day non-firing inspection with return policy only for items returned exactly as shipped. Please contact me for more photos.

I will consider trades for U.S. military M1911 and M1911A1 pistols in excellent, original condition.
I am a collector of all U.S. military issue handguns, especially the M1911, M1911A1 and Colt Govt. Model pistols. My primary interest involves U.S. military pistols and revolvers manufactured before 1947. However, I also collect high quality WWII Axis pistols and Colts manufactured up about 1980.
I am a Life Member of the N.R.A., CCA and several other collector associations. I am a member of several online forum sites, but generally only post in the collector boards. I administer a website to provide inspection services for USGI handguns and provide collector information and photos.
I regularly buy to upgrade my collection. We attend more than 30 gun shows each year and regularly exhibit displays at some of the major shows and the Colt Collector Association annual conventions. I also provide paid inspections at the shows through our website.
I am acknowledged in Clawson's Collectors Guide and Meadows' Volume II and have acquired several pistols featured in books and articles authored by Clawson, Meadows, Pate and Brunner. feel free to contact me for more information or references.
I am not an 01 FFL and use a local shop for all transactions requiring shipment and dealer transfers. I do legal face-to-face transactions only where permitted by law.
