The rifle stayed in the gun case except to be cleaned and oiled a few times a year. Two years ago I fired three clean cold bore shots to check function. The gun was throughly cleaned and returned to the case. This rifle has no rust, no wear and is the closest thing to NIB. Better larger pics are available upon request. Must sell, lost job.
