HG7470 From the collection of our favorite Kansas Lawman comes this fine specimen of the P38 pistol series, a CYQ coded pistol from the Spreeswerke Arsenal. From its 9800 range serial number with lower case scripted letter V number suffix, we estimate it was manufactured in late 1944. Barrel, frame, and slide are all matching numbers. Magazine has a Waffenamt with 4198 on its bottom side, located on the back of the magazine. Surface detractions are only moderate, principally an etchy textured area on the exposed front section of the grip frame, as the photos show. We rate this P38 as Very Good, but photos ought to enable our distinguished shoppers to judge finish grade for themselves. It is Excellent mechanically; bore, chamber, and mechanism are all bright, clean, and excellent. We are including a Cold War Era German Police Holster.
