The item that you are considering is a Winchester 52 that was made in 1928. It is in very good condition and looks to have the original blue finish as well as the original stock. The serial number is 10073 and has no letter with it. The barrel is 27 inches and has target scope blocks as well as hooded front sight. There is also a lyman rear sight. The bore is nice and shiny and this looks as if it was not fired very much. It does the magazine intact. The barrel reads "-MODEL 52- WINCHESTER - 22 LONG R- -TRADE MARK- The other side of the barrel reads "MADE IN U.S.A. WINCHESTER REPEATING ARMS COMPANYNEW HAVEN CONN. PATENTED NOV. 11. 18. 25. DEC. 9. 1919. FEB. 17. MAR. 30. APRIL 27. 1920" The rear scope block is notched out for dove tail device and shows finish wear. The stock has also been shortened with a lop of 12 inches. I have been told that this rifle stock design was made to do that due to the flat butt. The buttplate looks to be original and is metal. The overall finish on this rifle is about 98%. I do not see any rust or pitting upon examination. I do have additional pictures and can send them upon request. Semper Fi.
As of 3-11 I have reduced the price of this rifle significantly so that it sells quickly. Price reduced from $1100 to $850.
