Series I 5-shot style revolver. Made by Manhattan Arms and marketed under the London trade name due to its status as a factory imperfect, second quality gun. 150-plus years on, you can't discern what the flaw might have been. Serial number 1731 under loading lever. Metal parts are nicely engraved with roll-engraved scene on cylinder. Metal parts have some faded original blue on the barrel and some light pitting on the cylinder, concentrated primarily in one spot. Loading lever spring latch is a replacement. Wood grips are very good, showing average wear and use with minor marks and a couple minor corner nicks, free of cracks. Mechanically good, sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
