One of the first 1,120,000 of the over 6,000,000 rifles manufactured. This sale along with the M1 Garand also includes a new locking, hard shell case. The stock and both hand guards are in very good condition. The metal parts are also in very good condition. The rifle cycles and ejects correctly and shoots as originally designed. The barrel is bright, shiny, smooth and has excellent rifling. Serial Numbers: Rifle: 1119XXX. Trigger Housing: D28290WR, Bolt: D28287-2SA, Operating Rod: D35882-9SA, Barrel: SA 3-52 The Throat Erosion (TE) is 2.5, 1 is perfect 10 is junk. Muzzle passes the bullet test and the muzzle iS .08. The Garand has been field stripped and all metal parts have been cleaned with Hoppes #9 solvent and then a light coat of Hoppes oil applied. There is no rust anywhere on the rifle. A qualified gunsmith is required to check all parts before firing this weapon. Use only ammunition as specified in the owners manual. Included with the M1 Garand is a user's manual, one En Bloc clip (without ammunition), a yellow safety flag, and a new lockable hard shell rifle case. The Garand is shipped in the hard case protected between two layers of foam padding and enclosed in a cardboard shipping box. I only ship to a FFL or C&R.
