RAS047040000 range serial number indicates 2018 production year. Construction is entirely steel metal, stamped receiver, with Magpul polymer stock, guard, and forend. Chambering is 7.62x39 caliber. Type is gas operated Kalashnikov action semi automatic rifle. Barrel is 16.5 inch Medium, ,637 outside diameter behind the rear sight and .687 osd at the forend. Muzzle is 14x1 Left Hand threaded, with movable shovel nosed brake. Bore is 4 groove right hand 1:10 rifling, does not appear to be chrome lined. Sights are elevation adjustable post front, and drift adjustable folding military rear, calibrated to 1,000 meters. Receiver’s left side supports a standard Russian scope rail apparatus. Trigger is .300 smooth faced steel, pulls two stage at 7 pounds with moderate felt creep and overtravel. Safety is conventional Kalashnokov type, doubles as a dust cover. Magazines included are all 30 rounders, 2 factory steel, plus 2 extra Tapco polymer, total of 4 magazines. Forend is vented Magpul waffle surface. Stock pitch is straight 1 1/2 to 1 3/4 inch pitch, with 1/2 inch right hand cant, optics friendly. Stock length of pull is a relatively short 12 3/4 inches with 1/2 inch right hand cast. Note the hollow pistol grip with detachable plate. Weight empty is 8 pounds 5 ounces centered at the bolt face. Metal finish is black nitride. Surface detractions on this RAS47 are minimal, principally operation streaking from the gas tube and safety levers. We rate it as Excellent, 90 to 95 percent vicinity by our estimate, but photos ought to suffice for our distinguished shoppers to judge finish grade for themselves.
