Taurus continued its innovative ways about 6 years ago, with this modified, beefed-up descendant of the Smith & Wesson K frame, fitted with a 5 shot .44 Magnum cylinder and 6 inch barrel. This tracker has the feel and balance of a medium frame revolver with .44 Magnum Power readily available. From its AN prefix serial number, it was manufactured in 2007, the First and possibly only year of production, since Taurus does not even show this 2440069TKR number in its archived web page section. Manufacturer is Forjas Taurus S.A. of Porto Alegre, Brazil. Importer is Braztech of Miami. This is the only specimen we’ve had so far of a very brief run of 6 inch Trackers, and it is no longer in the catalog. Construction is entirely stainless steel, with the exception of internal springs and pins, sights, and grips. Barrel construction is two piece; 5 inches of internal bore in a 6 inch Full Lug housing, that has four vent ports on each side of the front sight. Front sight is black steel serrated ramp type, with OSHA Orange inlay, pinned into place on the integral base. Rear sight is black steel, windage and elevation adjustable with white outline. Cylinder has five chambers for .44 Smith & Wesson Special and .44 Remington Magnum calibers interchangeably. Trigger is smooth faced .400 Satin Stainless, with matching serrated spur hammer. Ignition is flat faced hammer against floating firing pin, and the mechanism has a transfer bar safety device as well as Taurus’s innovative internal hammer lock. Finish is satin matte stainless. Grips are Taurus Ribber, absorbent and sure-gripping pliable rubber. Weight empty is a perfectly balanced 39 1/2 ounces, with center of gravity at the cylinder face. This specimen has served with Taurus’s sales force as a rep’s sample, possibly on display at the annual SHOT show or NRA Convention. It comes in a factory box marked, Factory Reconditioned. It carries, writes the label, the Exclusive Taurus Functional Repair Policy, but not on its finish. Taurus will repair any mechanical flaws should they develop, but they will not do a freebie refinish. It does not need refinishing anyway. Surface detractions are negligible, principally cylinder rotation marking that is no more pronounced than on a brand new specimen someone might find in a gun shop. We rate it as Mint or Near Mint and unfired, but photos ought to suffice for our distinguished shoppers to judge finish grade for themselves. We’re offering this Pristine, attractive and collectable Taurus 44 Tracker 6 limited production Tracker for only $ 539.00. Not transferable to civilian residents of California, the District of Colombia, or Massachusetts.

Don't try, either, to circumvent any law; for example, a California civilian may not buy a high capacity magazine and have it shipped to his brother-in-law in Nevada. That is a felony.
GA Pay buyers are NOT charged until we confirm we have the item and are ready to ship it. The same thing is true for phone-in, fax-in, and mail-in payments. In this respect, and in several others, Guns America outshines all its competitors. This is the best firearms website there is, hands down.
