Out of all the hundreds of type 56 rifles we’ve sold over the years, here is the only bipod we recall having. Manufacturer of the parent rifles was Jianshe Arsenal, in the world’s most populous nation. Parent rifles were 1960s production. Construction of the bipod is entirely steel, most of it stamped. This bipod mounts to the lug that was always underneath the barrel and once held a bladed implement. Screw and bolt are included. Adjustments are 8 inches collapsed, up to 14 inches fully extended, in 8 positions. We do not have the original metal clip that held its legs together. Finish is military parkerized. Surface detractions are moderate, some residue on one of the legs and swivels, and here and there. We rate it as very good condition, but photos ought to suffice for our distinguished shoppers to judge finish grade for themselves. We’re offering it for only $ 39.00.
