SN 244467. Cal. 32-40. Rare engraved '93 with rare 26" oct to rnd bbl, button magazine that extends to the end of the octagon part of the barrel, front sight & rear sight factory instaled Lyman with adjustable aperture. Mounted with very highly figured, flame grain B-style checkered American walnut with serpentine pistol grip stock & crescent buttplate. Receiver is very nicely engraved by Conrad Ulrich with a vignette of a standing buck deer on left side surrounded by foliate arabesque patterns & a triple border. Right side has foliate arabesque patterns with matching borders. Top of receiver, top tang & bottom of receiver have light engraving patterns & borders. Standard bbl length for the 1893 was 26", however the half octagon feature & button magazine are very rare and of course the engraving is rare in any Marlin rifle. CONDITION: NRA Antique Fine Original blue barrel at95% Original case color is visible but would fit the description in th33 edition of Blue Book of Gun Values page 103. Wood is sound with forearm showing some wear & a hand worn patina. Buttstock shows some wear and overall retains about 85% to 90% of orig varnish. Mechanics are fine, strong bright bore.
