This is the venerable Smith & Wesson Model 17 K22 Masterpiece Revolver. 6" barrel. Factory installed Target Hammer, Target Trigger and Target Grip. These are options that most of the available pieces don't have, and definitely improve the handling, especially for a shooter with a big hand. As you're browsing, take a look at the shape of the grip - it's easy to see the difference. This is from the original Masterpiece series, when S&W got out their old classics and updated them with modern excellence. Handles any kind of .22 round you can throw at it, and always hits its mark. Rear sight is micro adjustable for elevation and windage. Single/Double action. Six shot cylinder. Shoots great - I have never had a misfire or glitch (like other .22's I've had). 'course, it hasn't really been used that much. Practically new. This one has the original cardboard box (not the new cheesy plastic box), with matching serial number, and marks indicating that it has the factory installed optional Target Hammer, Target Trigger, and oversize Target Grip. These parts are pictured in the exploded view in the manual. A collector's dream. I am also including the aftermarket rubber grip (Pachmayr model SK-G) that my dad used (I prefer the original), so the original grip is essentially new. The rest of the gun has virtually no signs of use except the normal slight scoring you can see around the cylinder. Not a scratch, nick, or holster mark to be found. He kept it clean and so have I. I hate to see this beauty go, but I'm really not that much of a collector, and I have a nice compound bow picked out. . . .
