Importer and warrantor from 2006 until 2008 was Remington Arms. Type is gas operated semi automatic shotgun with adjustment mechanism that allows it to digest any 12 gauge load from 2 3/4 inch Trap Loads all the way up to 3 1/2 inch Magnums. Construction is steel barrel, bolt, carrier, working parts, and magazine tube housed with a light weight alloy receiver. Mechanism is patterned similar to Browning’s Gold Series shotguns. Barrel is 28 inch Vent Rib, with .795 x 44 thread, .712 muzzle modified choke tube. Baikal thread choke tubes are readily available from Carlson in Kansas or Colonial Arms in Bay Minette, Alabama, but this one, the TSMOD, is the most versatile and capable of handling anything from Slugs to Buckshot to Steel Shot loads. Magazine capacity 4 + 1 capacity on 2 3/4 inch shells or 3+1 with 3 1/2 inch shells. Weight empty on this shotgun is 7 pounds 8 ounces, with center of gravity even with the chamber. Surface detractions are moderate to extensive, principally weather freckling and toning on the forward section of the barrel. We rate it as Good, perhaps Very Good, 70 percent vicinity by our estimate, but photos ought to suffice for our distinguished shoppers to judge finish grade for themselves.
