Description: I have had this gun for at least 15 years now, never once shot it. Looking at the gun, I don't think it has ever been shot. It is a single square bridged commercial Mauser, never tapped for scope. Has the "African" express sights, barrel sling connector, cheekpiece and extremely fine full coverage checkering, pistol grip with cap, ebony forend cap and classic red pad.Look at these pictures, this is truly a fine piece of craftsmanship.. The barrel says Frank Haugh Milan. This is Jack Haugh's son.I called and spoke with Mrs. Haugh. She told me this gun was done by her son but her husband did the stock work, if you have ever heard of Jack Haugh, you know fit and finish on custom guns are compared to Haugh fit and finish-pretty much the standard others are compared to.It is quite evident in this gun, have only seen a single custom gunsmith come close to this quality of fit and finish. Bought this gun at an auction years ago,but never shot it. I prefer 7MM Mauser for my shooting ,but had to have this gun due to the quality, plus single square bridge commercial Mauser's are just rare.If no one buys this gun, will probably have it re-barrelled to a 7 Mauser, which would sort of be a shame seeing how it was made by one of a dying breed of classic American gunsmiths.Hope someone can find this gun a good home,if it was a smaller caliber it would not be leaving my safe. This will be transferred through my FFL to your FFL,regardless. Buyer is welcome to pick up face to face, but still will go through my FFL.Buyer to pay actual shipping to be calculated once this listing is over. Gun is in perfect condition, look at the close ups of the checkering, really don't think this gun has ever been fired. Mrs. Haugh sort of told me they were not making guns anymore, so this is a chance to get a gun that is quite possibily impossible to replicate again. There just aren't man y custom gunsmiths out there making this quality of firearms any longer.

I was asked for better full side pictures, will provide Monday afternoon. I wanted to make a couple more comments about this gun. Notice how clean the gun is per over the top engraving/fiddle back wood? This is a classic American gunsmith style where the clean line and perfect fitment speaks louder than any xxx wood (not that that style doesn't have its place ) or over the top engraving will ever. Also, there are a couple pictures that appear to show a blemish in the barrel bluing near the express sight. That is an anomaly in the light or possibly a smear from my hands, the barrel has no defects. this is a gun that whoever purchases will not want to let it go. I will offer full purchase back including shipping both ways if there is any problem,if my description hasn't been complete etc.. I will also get a picture of the Haugh stamping Monday afternoon.Starting to wonder if I have misprinted this gun. Didn't look on GA before listing, now see a few other Square Bridged Mausers in the mid-high teens.. Will honor this price until Thursday of this week.
