We are offering a preowned L.C. Smith SxS FIELD GRADE shotgun chambered in 12 gauge. The serial number places the manufacture date of this gun in 1916. Gun comes with (2) 28” barrels and (2) fore-ends. ALL SERIAL NUMBERS MATCHING.
This shotgun comes with two sets of barrels. Both are marked LC Smith FIELD GRADE and both are 28” long. Both are marked “Armor Steel” The set that is on the gun (A) in this listing is very good with some overall light wear. There is a small ding 3/4 of the way down the right barrel. Muzzle is very good; Bore is very good with some light frosting. Second set of barrels (B) is only in good condition. This barrel features a couple small dings. Muzzle shows wear; Bore is lightly frosty with some surface wear. Both barrels bluing is giving way to a brown patina.

The action is very good with some light signs of case colors. Both sideplates read “LC SMITH”. The crowns show light wear. Action closes tightly and holds. No wiggle.
The walnut stock is in Good condition and has some definite surface wear; loss. There are no chips or cracks on this stock. Both splinter fore-ends are in very good condition. One set (on the gun) has a push button latch release and the other does not. Checkering is very nice overall.
