Manufactured in 1978, this 97-98% Colt wears the standard Python metal stampings. The six-inch vent ribbed barrel has a dual-pinned, serrated ramp front sight and an adjustable rear notch sight. This beautiful revolver is fitted with a wide borderless checkered hammer and serrated trigger. The checkered walnut grips are the third version with gold Colt medallions. This 37 year old Colt comes complete with a Colt factory "wood grain" box with gold end label, numbered to the gun. The enclosed papers include the Colt Python Owner’s Manual. This Python is excellent with original blue finish, a light cylinder drag line, and faint powder rings at the chamber faces. The grips are excellent with crisp checkering. The box is fair with a few minor tears overall and corner and edge wear. The box label is curled and torn at the edges where the adhesive has not held. Mechanically, this Colt Python is excellent.
