This is truly a tack driver. Rifle has had only 32 rounds through it. Extra clean and though listed as used, its in excellent condition, please look at the pics. No damage, scuffs, scrapes or gouges anywhere, all surfaces, metal or otherwise, are excellent. List price is for the rifle only but can renegotiate for entire package if that's what you want. The only modification I had to make to it is the addition of the KMW Loggerhead cheek riser hardware which is top quality stuff. I don't like those Velcro things that go around the stock or the flimsy plastic cheek risers so went with the best I knew of, KMW. Its rock solid and very adjustable but you do have to carry an allen wrench to adjust it so be aware of that. Once set though it will not move. Its adjustable both laterally and for height. Its set in the stock with West System marine epoxy with silica fibers mixed in so Its impervious to weather and will last forever. The rifle IS used but again, looks new. Its been well cared for and used very little. The bolt shows only the wear you'd expect to see with only 32 rounds used, that and some dry cycling. Chamber, bore, and crown are perfect, clean and bright. No nicks or damage of any sort to the crown. The finish on the rifle is 100% but for whatever reason, the bottom of the magazine has some surface defects on it. Why, I don't know but its minor. Its a 4 round mag by the way. Gun also has stock bottom metal. The trigger is the Accu-Trigger and is an absolutely fabulous trigger. Savage has come a long way, and in my opinion, is light years ahead of everyone else, in that department.
I bought this rifle planning to get into the long range shooting game and found that I just don't have the time or space to do it. For this price, you could afford to buy a few aftermarket components and have either a great long range rig or go a slightly different direction and have a superb tac rifle , its really accurate and really seems to like Black Hills 168 gr loading. I was seeing .428 3 round groups @150 mtrs with the BH 168's. The barrel isn't even really shot in yet.
Remember, the listed price is for the rifle only but if youre interested in the whole thing the scope is a Bushnell Elite Tactical ET 6245 ERS, 30mm tube, RainGuard, mildot, 6 - 24 X 50 and has a 3" sunshade. Glass is perfect and the only gun its ever been on is this one and it too is in perfect condition (PLEASE look at the pics, there is not a single mark on it, anywhere). Have the box and paperwork, and remember, the scope has an unlimited lifetime warranty that is extended to whoever owns the scope, and, no one needs any proof of purchase or any other paperwork to receive any service to their scopes. Everything works as it should. The rings are Badger Ordnance 30mm Max 50 rings, part number 306-11, machined as a matching pair from ordnance grade steel and serialized. Theyre 1" wide and each ring has 6 #8x40 torx screws and have a black oxide finish. Theyre mounted on an EGW 20 MOA steel rail and the whole set up mounts the scope with a fraction more than 3/32" of clearance between the bell of the scope and the barrel. The bipod is GG&G and is their XDS-2 Extreme Duty model and has swivel and pan, adjustable tension on both movements, legs will lock securely in both the 45 degree and 90 degree positions. Its a rock solid bipod and it is, like the rest of the package, in as new condition and has no damage anywhere on it.
