This top-quality Black Basketweave genuine leather Duty Holster fits a variety of medium and large automatic, but it was intended for 5900 type Smith & Wessons. The frame size, of course, on 59-5900s and 4000-type .40 caliber Smith & Wessons are the same. We are offering 2 of these identical holsters, but they are photographed separately and listed separately, so the holster in the photo is the one the winning buyer will receive. To the best of our recollection, these came from one of the Carolinas Highway Patrol agencies in the early 1990s. Any S&W 5900 type fits it easily, and we got a Glock 23 into it with some difficulty. With time, it would stretch to fit the Glock. A Sig-Sauer 229 went in with less difficulty than the Glock. This holster is in excellent condition, with some signs of surface wear. It’s a high ride duty holster, fits up to a 2-1/4 inch Sam Browne Belt, and has a jacket slot extension with internal steel plate. If it were a gun, we’d grade it at 85% - 90% finishwise, and black dye is easy to come by. Excellent leather with soft interior. Manufacturer’s numbers are H738 SH L No. 5 M. If anyone has a Don Hume catalog or chart, then it should be listed according to manufacturer’s numbers. This holster sells new for upwards of $100.00, and we’re offering it for only $29.95
