LG0546 When Browning celebrated its own corporate centennial in 1978, its choice for the firearm was its model B-92, directly patterned after the venerable 1892 Winchester, but chambered in the popular .44 Remington Magnum caliber. The rifles sold new for less than $200 apiece; so its owner used it rather than put it up. This one’s serial number is 5500 range out of 6000 manufactured; it came in through one of our friendly local competitors. Surface wear is only moderate, with moderate whitening to the sharp edges and bottom side of the receiver. It has good gold plating on its trigger, but the saddle ring is white. Metal exhibits moderate but inconspicuous freckling. Wood finish is good and smooth, but with not much glossy appearance left. The walnut shows minimal scouring. We rate this B-92 Centennial as Very Good, 75 percent vicinity by our estimate; photos, at any rate, ought to suffice for our distinguished shoppers to judge finish grade for themselves. It is certainly excellent mechanically; bore, chamber, and mechanism are all bright, clean, and excellent. Edge whitening to the loading gate is minimal, so we estimate this rifle has been fired fewer than 200 rounds. Weight is a pleasantly balanced 6 1/8 pounds empty.
