I purchased this safe new. Before I sold everything,I had over 30 long guns, six hand guns & over 4000 rounds of ammunition stored inside the safe all together, as well as all sorts of personal items. You would be surprised just how many guns & cases of ammo will fit inside this safe.
The door has NINE ROUND STEEL locking bolts, two on top, two on bottom & five along one side, and two steel bars welded along the other side. When closed & engaged, the door can't be opened in any way, even if the hinges were somehow cut off...which in itself is no easy feat!
Not sure what it weighs, I'd guess between 600 & 700 pounds empty. It took three strong guys & a SUPER heavy duty hand truck to move it. The guys got a tad slack and put some scratches on one side of the safe as they were sliding it in & out of the bed of the pickup truck.
It looks worse in the photos than it does in person. If you wanted to, you could get matching touch-up paint from Winchester to touch it up, or find a close match at a paint store...even have a custom match made in whatever type paint you wanted. Personally, it never bothered me. Also, depending how you have it facing, that one side may not even be visible, if facing a wall.
It has four pre-drilled holes, under the interior flooring, so it can be bolted to the floor/foundation/slab, etc.
I am moving VERY soon & need this gone, I have nowhere to store/use it with my new living situation, so I must sell it.
