HG5442 All the Canadian Hi-Powers like this one were manufactured in 1944 – 1945 from all we know. This one has a OT prefix, 4600 range suffix, and it served not only the Allied Forces of the British Commonwealth during World War II, but also the Israeli Defense Forces beginning shortly after the end of the Second World War. This one’s last stint of service was with the Mishteret Y’Israel, the Israeli Civilian Police in the Jerusalem District. This Inglis Hi-Power still bears the majority of its original parkerized style military finish by our estimate. As the photos show, it has substantial whitening on its edge areas, and etchy toning to much of its finish. Still, we classify it as Good, sixty percent range by our estimate. Photos, at any rate, ought to suffice so that our distinguished shoppers can judge finish grade for themselves. Forward left side of frame bears the importer’s marks, PW Arms, Redmond, WA / Hi-Power 9x19mm, as required by current Federal Law. It is excellent mechanically; bore, chamber, and mechanism are all bright, clean, and excellent. Grips are traditional black composite. Specs are steel frame, 4 5/8 inch barrel, frame integral ramped notch rear sight and ramp dovetailed blade front sight; smooth face .265 combat trigger and matching round serrated Commander style hammer. Magazine is authentic J.I. stamped military, but we are also including a 10 round Mec-Gar; and we will include two Mec-Gar 10 rounders for civilian buyers in jurisdictions such as California and Toledo OH where the 13 rounders are restricted to law enforcement.
