From one of our veteran State Investigators comes this Remington 870 Tactical Magnum, Remington Product Code 26471 in OD Green and Black Matte. It is set up exactly as it came from the factory, with its original box and papers. This 870's only surface detractions are inconspicuous. There is faint frame contact whitening on the edge of the right slide bar, light evidence of frame contact to the rear area of the bolt, and faint whitening on the end of the shell carrier, which is not even streaked from loading. We rate this 870 as Excellent, Near Mint, with 97 percent of its original finish intact by our estimate. Photos, however, should allow prospective owners to judge finish grade for themselves. This is an 870 Special Purpose, not an Express; and the OD Green and Black Matte metal finish is impervious to weather. Barrel is 3 inch chambered, 20 inch cylinder bore; Extenstion and brace are factory Remington steel yielding a 7 + 1 capacity for 2 3/4 inch shells, or 6 + 1 capacity for 3 inch shells. Buttstock and forend are high impact polymer, traditional corncob serrated forent and pistol grip buttstock with 1 inch thick factory recoil pad. Magazine spring is heavy duty steel, and the magazine follower is high visibility orange. This 870 tips our postal scales at an even 8 pounds empty. Replacement price on similar shotguns in our area, if a person can even find them nowadays, is well over $600 apiece. We're offering this one, however, for only $ 499.95
