The Mossberg model 500 has never been as prestigious as the arch-competitor Remington 870, but it’s just as tried, and just as true. Here is a special purpose variant specimen of Mossberg’s Military and Police series 500s. Manufacturer, of course, is O.F. Mossberg & Sons of New Haven, CT. Model is 500 Thunder Ranch Breacher, Special Purpose series; factory sku is 52130. This is a civilian market version of Mossberg’s LE 500 Military series. Type is pump or slide action shotgun. Construction is steel barrel and working parts all built into an alloy receiver that undercuts the 870 on weight, with durable synthetic stock and traditional corn cob type forend that is outfitted with an integral bottom edge 13 slot Picatinny Light Rail, and two lateral 5 slot rails. Finish is durable military Parkerized, with the Thunder Ranch Logo neatly executed on the right side of the receiver. Trigger group housing is high impact black polymer, with .292 smooth faced combat trigger. Safety is step serration top tang black polymer with steel screw, detent and detent place, and the top tang safety is a southpaw friendly feature. Barrel is 3 inch chambered 18 1/2 inch Heavy Barrel parkerized, with 6 slot sawtooth oversized breacher muzzle, useful for firing through medium thickness wood doors with reduced splintering backdraft. Stock drop is 1 1/2 inches at the comb, and 2 1/2 inches at the butt, with a right hand cant of about 3/4 inch. This model 500 comes to us from Mossberg’s distribution system. It is what we call a factory demo, probably a sales rep’s sample or a showgirl at a Firearms Industry trade show. Surface detractions are negligible to minimal on this shotgun, as its photos show. We rate it as Excellent, perhaps Near Mint, but photos ought to suffice for our distinguished shoppers to judge finish grade for themselves. Often a person can spot the letter U stamped on the left side of the receiver above the serial number. Bore, chamber, and mechanism are all bright and clean. This 500 Special Purpose comes in a relabeled Mossberg Factory Box with factory lock, instruction manual, NSSF and NRA flyers. If this shotgun was test fired, it was fewer than 20 times. Replacement pricing on mossberg com was $500 on this shotgun. We’re offering the Mossberg 500 Thunder Ranch Breacher in the photos, however, for only $ 359.00.

Don't let your buddies use your account. Registered user must be the buyer, with his or her own money. Buying firearms and related items for other people can result in felony charges. Don't try, either, to circumvent any law; for example, a California civilian may not buy a high capacity magazine and have it shipped to his brother-in-law in Nevada. That is a felony.
GA Pay buyers are NOT charged until we confirm we have the item and are ready to ship it. The same thing is true for phone-in, fax-in, and mail-in payments. In this respect, and in several others, Guns America outshines all its competitors. This is the best firearms website there is, hands down.
