This ad features the pictured Antique Percussion Muzzleloading Rifle. The gun appears to have been built by a American craftsman using a Golcher commercial lock. The rifle has a very nice Eagle on the left side of the butt and a nicely done patchbox on the right side. Most of the decoration is nickel silver with a bit of brass used in certain places. There are holes in the top of the barrel where sights were at time screwed on. These can filled and the appearance greatly improved. This gun has a 37 and 1/2 inch long barrel and is 53 and 3/4 inches overall. The wood is curly Maple. It has had a few repairs done over the years. A piece of wood has been spliced in behind the hammer and the left edge of the forend has a few repaired cracks. The ramrod is a recent replacement and it is not full length. A close look at the pictures will show you the details. Please give us a call at 410 820 8811 if you have any questions.
