The pictures are stock photos of a 6940 we sold previously - this listing is for a sealed in box 6940. This new in box rifle is in stock, in our hands, and ready to ship. This rifle utilizes a proprietary 1-piece upper receiver which is machined from a single aluminum forging. The upper has a continuous 12 o'clock rail with a free-floating barrel. The barrel is the same as the LE 6920 which is to say a 16" chrome-plated M4 profile barrel with a 1-7 twist. The rifle comes complete from the Colt factory with a folding front sight assembly with a bayonet lug, and a MaTech back-up iron sight. The bolt, bolt carrier, charging handle and lower receiver group are the same as the Colt LE 6920, including the M4 4-position waffle stock. Additional rifle details: The rifle comes with an accessory kit which contains 3 full-length rail ladder covers, a QD (quick detach) push-button sling loop, 2 20rd Colt mags, a sling and a cleaning kit. The rifle also comes with an Operators Manual (as pictured). The forward end of the rail features a right and left side mounting point for the QD sling loop. The bottom rail is removable via a recessed push-in lock which does not require any special tools. We carefully pack around & protect the Colt box during shipping with an outer box.
