Markings: The top of the top strap is marked “WEBLEY & SCOTT Ltd / MADE IN ENGLAND”. The left barrel flat is marked with a crowned “BNP” and “.38 . 767’ / 3 ½ TONS”. The left side of the top strap is marked “Mark IV .38”. The left side of the barrel is marked “THE 100TH YEAR OF WEBLEY REVOLVERS 1”. The right side of the barrel is marked “THE SUN NEVER SETS ON A WEBLEY MARK IV”. The right side of the frame is marked “B / 87786”. The flat at the underside of the barrel is marked “786”. The rear face of the cylinder is marked “B 87 7 86”. The circumference of the cylinder is marked with a Crowned “BNP” Birmingham definitive proof mark at every chamber.

Barrel Length: The barrel is round on the bottom with flat sides and a rib. It is 5” in length.

Stock Configuration & Condition: The grips are black checkered hard rubber with “Webley” marked in an oval at the top of each grip. The left grip show light staining marks. The checkering is sharp without mars. The grips rate in about very good overall condition.

Type of Finish: The finish is a blued. The trigger is smooth.

Finish Originality: The finish is original.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp and deep. There is no erosion in the bore. There are no indications in the bore, cylinder or recoil shield that this revolver was ever fired outside the factory.

Overall Condition: This handgun retains about 99.9+% of its metal finish. one very small nick in cylinder. Overall, this handgun rates in about ANIB condition.

Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This pistol has a lanyard ring mounted on the butt and comes with its original cardboard box, a wooden display case and a certificate from Webley & Scott. The box is brown cardboard with an end mark of Webley. The cardboard box is in fair condition. The display case is hardwood with a black felt covering on its bottom surface. The corners of the box are with finger jointed. The top of the case is secured with a two brass piano hinges on the rear and a brass lock at the front (with key in factory envelope) . The inside of the box lined with a mustard colored velvet cloth. The lid has a dark brown imitation leather label marked in gold letters with “Webley & Scott / Established 1790 / Birmingham / England / Incorporating W.W. Greener”. The bottom of the box is fitted for the Webley MK IV revolver. The outside of the box shows several light scratches and a few compression marks in the lid and side panels. The felt bottom shows surface loss around the edges and in several spots. . Overall, the box is in about 99% condition. The certificate is printed on parchment style paper and certifies that this revolver is one of the last 250 manufactured by Webley & Scott
