Description: The move to wholesale Great White Father imagery on our common coins began, of course, in 1909 when our second strong non-founding President, Theodore Roosevelt, presided over the placement of the first strong one's – Lincoln's – on the penny. That was the first move to remove the Indianized Liberty image. The last coin to have Liberty deleted was, of course, this one, the Half Dollar, beginning with Franklin's likeness in 1948. We wonder what Franklin would think supplanting Liberty Herself on our coinage. This is a complete set consisting almost entirely of higher grade Franklin Halves, including all specimens from 1948 through 1963, a total of 35. On our view, only a few of the halves on the second and third pages could be challenged as to Extremely Fine grade. 1952-S, 1953, 1953-S, 1954, 1954-D, 1958; and, on the third page, 1958-D, may lack sufficient details on Franklin's hair and ears to warrant XF status, but they are certainly strong VF's on our view. At least some of those six are possibly cleaned coins. 1949, 1949-D, and 1950 have possibly been cleaned, but we doubt it. Those three early Franklins certainly have the details. 1948 is dark but superbly detailed, and 1954 is a nice frosty weak strike. That leaves 22 of the Franklins here with mint luster, as the photos show. We have included as many photos as possible so that shoppers can check our grading. This set comes in a very nice, leather-grained Archival Quality Littleton Custom Folder. Buyer will receive the exact coins in the photo. Note that we have included a BU 1964 Kennedy to fill the last slot. Don't let your buddies use your account. Registered user must be the buyer, with his or her own money. Buying firearms and related items for other people can result in felony charges. Don't try, either, to circumvent any law; for example, a California civilian may not buy a high capacity magazine and have it shipped to his brother-in-law in Nevada. That is a felony.
GA Pay buyers are NOT charged until we confirm we have the item and are ready to ship it. The same thing is true for phone-in, fax-in, and mail-in payments. In this respect, and in several others, Guns America outshines all its competitors. This is the best firearms website there is, hands down.
