From its 19 serial number prefix, this fully traditional Marlin .30-30 was manufactured in President Reagan’s Inaugural Year, 1981. This is a locally owned rifle, and it has been hunted more than it has been fired. Scope is a 1980s Tasco 3x9x40 mm World Class Wide Angle, with case wear to its edges, mounted on Kwik-Site see-through rings. Scope is excellent mechanically, and its lenses show no abrasions. The rifle itself is well worn surfacewise, but with only whitening, no pitting or rust residue. Walnut stock and forend ashow estensive scouring and weathering, but no cracks. This rifle will only rate Good at best Finishwise, but photos ought to suffice for our shoppers to judge finish grade for themselves. It is excellent mechanically; bore, chamber, and mechanism are all bright, clean, and excellent. As far as specs, type is lever action repeating rifle, tube fed. Capacity, of course, is 6 + 1 rounds of .30-30 Winchester cartridges; barrel is 20 inch Micro-Groove blue steel with Williams alloy adjustable rear and hooded white bead front sight; weight is 7 pounds empty; action is lever-action repeater; and this Marlin, like all its siblings manufactured prior to 1983, does not have the cross-receiver safety, only the lever safety. Replacement price on this fine little rifle set, scope, mounts and all, in our area is upwards of $500.00. We’re offering this one, however, for only $ 349.00. Don’t want the scope & rings?
