LG0245 Here is one of thousands of Norinco SKS rifles that went through our doors in the late 1980s and early 1990s. We distinctly remember our veteran customers having a sharp preference for the PTK / Poly-Tech import brand, and this is a PTK Specimen. This one domiciled itself in nearby Madison County, Tennessee, bought new from us by a decorated Vietnam Veteran who had actually been on the muzzle end of these things on many occasion, and without flinching. Its serial number prefix is 18, with matching 5 last digit cartouches on the buttstock. Since we sold it new in 1993, the 18 is a Marlin type reverse date code, we surmise; and this Norinco was manufactured in 1992. Surface detractions are minimal, only faint dark toning to the exposed abolt surfaces, faint and occasional freckling on the blue finish, including the buttplate. Equipment is all original, bayonet, sling, cleaning kit inside the buttstock, and all. Surface detractions to the stock are no more pronounced than when this rifle sold new 20 years ago in our store for less than $100.00. We rate this SKS as Excellent, since we estimate that 90 percent of its finish is fully intact; photos, however, should suffice for interested parties to judge finish grade for themselves. Bore, chamber, gas tube, and mechanism are all bright, clean, and excellent. We're offering this solid, serviceable, attractive Poly-Tech SKS for only $ 429.00.
