Caseload demands forced the cancellation of the trip, and the rifles were sold to help fund a new home purchase. The other rifle in 30-378 was sold for $2,850, and my intention was to use this for Moose and Elk hunting in British Columbia. The 338-378 is about as powerful as you're likely to need for ANYTHING on the North American continent at about any range you can handle. However, my hunting plans have changed, and now I hunt mostly African game of Eland and up in size. I don't know of all the custom shop enhancements to this rifle, other than the obvious Snow Camo stock, and the action being much smoother than my other Weatherby rifles. This rifle was fired exactly 3 TIMES since its purchase. The rifle was bought new with the included Kahles 3x12x56 30mm scope and 2 boxes of ammo for $3,350. Since I now don't need the rifle for my current hunting interests, I will sell the package including the rifle, scope, Talley 30mm rings and bases, and the 2 boxes (less the 3 rounds) for a significant savings over new.
