Saginaw S’G’ (Grand Rapids) M1 carbine, serial 18094xx, mid World War Two production. Underwood barrel dated March 1944, with a bright bore. New stock. This carbine is in excellent used condition. All metal parts have new parkerized finish, and none were pitted before refinish. Parts markings are mixed manufacturers, all are detailed below and shown in photos. No import marks.

Receiver: manufactured July 1943 – Sept 1944. Marked SAGINAW S’G’, and U.S. CARBINE CAL. 30 M1. Excellent condition in every way.
Barrel: long skirt, marked “UNDERWOOD 3-44”, with flaming bomb and firing proof “P”. The bore is bright like new, rifling and crown excellent.

Rear sight: adjustable stamped type, marked “I.R. CO.”
Bolt: flat, marked “SG”
Firing pin: marked “II”, Inland
Extractor: late type flat lip, marked “W.I.”, Inland
Barrel band: bayonet lug type, marked “MMQ” on the side, “EM-Q” on the lug
Trigger housing: fabricated type, marked “BE-B”, IBM
Safety: rotary, marked “J.A.O.”
Operating slide: marked “S”, Standard Products
Hammer: straight, marked “W”, White Sewing Machine not WRA
Trigger: marked “SN”, National Postal Meter. The “S” is very light
Magazine catch: 15-round type, marked “SI”
Stock and handguard: new, walnut, new condition
Magazine: 15 round, marked “SP-S’G’”, fair condition, some surface pitting
Sling and oiler: new repro
