Here's what I can tell you for certain: * Reserve is $799, and I feel that's a fair amount for a nice old Winchester in this condition. * It was built in 1941 according to the serial number matched against the Winchester production file. * The bluing is gorgeous with very little fading or loss anywhere. I'd rate it 99 % * The wood is all original to my knowledge and shows no scratches or gouges. It has very minor nicks and dings as would be considered normal over the course of 75 years. * Mechanically it works perfectly. * The bore is excellent with no pitting or flaws. * I've owned this Winchester for 41 years, it has mainly sat in the gun safe and never abused. It has sat there, always oiled, humidity controlled and well taken care of. These are the things I know for certain. Other than that, I cannot accurately say how many rounds have been put thru it, for I am not the original owner. I can say however, that it hasn't been used a hell of a lot due to the condition I can see of the bore, extractor and internals. I have several other photos that are too numerous to add here.
