This pistol was built on May 7, 2012. The five inch barrel is chambered for the 45ACP. and has a complete Nitron finish. The green dot tritium, fights are dovetailed into the slide with the rear of the Novak style being adjustable for windege, The front blade is set for standard or +P velocity 230 grain bullets at 25 yds. A light rail is built onto the bottom of the dust cover forward of the trigger guard. This pistol comes standard with three, factory 8 round, nickel plated magazines, each with a black slam pad. The standard factory trigger weight is between 4 and 5 pounds. The grip panels are black composition with both the front strap and flat magazine housing being checkered for a rock steady hold with even cold,wet hands. The lightweight trigger is overtravel, adjustable and horizontally serrated. The oval opened trigger, combined with the described trigger allow for a four/five pound crisp single action trigger release. All in all (and this is difficult for a lifelong Colt carrier/collector I'm forced to describe this as the fineest NIB Government Model, rail gun I've ever held. Indeed The U.S. Marine Corps could have substituted this pistol for the new Colt M/45 CQC pistol that they have recently added to their inventory. However, when I think of it, one spelled USMC;COLT for over a century. Still this Sig Sauer is the equal of the M/45 and that's saying a great deal.
