Description: HG5196 From its career with the Israeli civilian Police, the Mishteret Y’Israel, comes this FN Belgian Made Hi-Power, model of 1935, also known as the P-35. This is a stock military variant with lanyard and stud on the left rear side of its grip frame. Caliber is THE 9mm, 9mm Luger, 9x19, 9mm Parabellum, call it what you will. Construction is entirely steel, 118 mm or 4 5/8 inch barrel, right-hand-twist 6 groove; magazine safety and firing pin safety; weight empty 32 oz / 900 g; fixed sights; single action only with lever safety; .265 smooth face combat trigger and classic Commander style round serrated hammer; Israeli armorer refinish coating; traditional black composite checkered grip panels. Serial number is T221,000 range, manufactured 1968; and this pistol was doubtless on duty during the Yom Kippur War of 1973. Barrel is marked Cal. 9mm/P, and the barrel’s number appears to be a factory restamp, but it matches the frame and slide. This specimen has extensive service wear and brown toning on its original blue finish, but plenty of blue is still there. Grips are original, traditional black checkered composite with extensive surface dulling to the right panel. Slide is marked Fabrique Nationale Herstal Belgique / Browning’s Patent Depose, with PW Arms import marking beneath on the left side of the frame as required by US Law. We rate this Belgian-Israeli Hi-Power as Good, perhaps even Very Good, finish wise, sixty to seventy percent vicinity by our estimate; but photos ought to suffice so that our distinguished shoppers can judge finish grade for themselves. Note that there is a small amount of superficial pitting on the muzzle crown. We also detect a dozen or so very tiny pits in the half inch of bore next to the muzzle. We do not believe this will affect its accuracy, and the effects are minimal, but they are there. Otherwise, mechanism, bore, and chamber are all bright, clean, and excellent. Most likely this pistol will require throating before it will feel sharp-nosed hollow point ammo; that was the case with all Hi-Powers before the mid 1980s. Magazine is military issue. We are including a new Mec-Gar 10 round magazine; for civilian buyers in jurisdictions where 13 round magazines are restricted, we will sub a total of 2 Mec-Gars, or for anyone else who prefers them, for that matter. We’re offering this collectable, serviceable FN Hi-Power for only $ 419.95. Not transferable to civilians in Massachusetts. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Handguns: $10 flat fee lower 48 states; $30 to Alaska, Hawaii or Puerto Rico, USPS Priority Mail, insured with Delivery Confirmation. Don't let your buddies use your account. Registered user must be the buyer, with his or her own money. Buying firearms and related items for other people can result in felony charges. Don't try, either, to circumvent any law; for example, a California civilian may not buy a high capacity magazine and have it shipped to his brother-in-law in Nevada. That is a felony.
GA Pay buyers are NOT charged until we confirm we have the item and are ready to ship it. The same thing is true for phone-in, fax-in, and mail-in payments. In this respect, and in several others, Guns America outshines all its competitors. This is the best firearms website there is, hands down.
