The FN 15 1776 is designed to be high performance, value-priced, and optics-ready, perfect for shooters looking for a base rifle to customize to their liking.

The brand-new FN 15 1776 includes many of the same features found in the FN 15 series like the standard 16-inch, alloy steel, button-broached barrel, 6-position collapsible stock, A2-style compensator, and sling attachments. In contrast, the FN 15 1776 features an optics-ready MIL-STD 1913 flat-top rail for mounting the scope or sight of your choice. Manufacturer’s suggested retail price is $899.

I can build a decent AR10 for that price.
I think FN puts out good products but the price is very high for a non piston entry level no frills AR style rifle. You can still buy Colts and Sig m400 for less if you want a big name or pay hundreds less for other mid range brands. Maybe the dust they collect will be enough to reduce precived recoil. Lol Buyers will set the real price they will tollerate.
What is so “affordable” about a $900 basic mil-spec AR15 in a market awash with $600 guns? This is after all a mass produced rifle. Is FN becoming the new Colt? For years Colts cost more solely because they were Colts. I guess now that FN has the government contract for ARs, FNs cost more because they are FNs. Umm, no. Not buying it. The asking price is at least a 100% markup over cost (and given the efficiencies of scale, probably more than that), and unless the sales prices drop in the market, these will sit on the shelves. I built my AR for $850–and that included the Bushnell red dot, a Melonite HBar 18″ barrel, and an ALG trigger.
