We finally wrapped up our Primary Arms pistol lower build, out of all the orphan parts. We had a lot of fun completely disregarding color schemes as we perused the sale pages and bought whatever was in stock. Which ended us with a 2A lower, radian safety, mag pul grip, and an AR Gold Trigger. Oh, and a CMMG RipBrace since this was a pistol configuration, one of my favorite parts to hit the market this year. So finally, we can get to the point. And the point was to make a 7.62×39 pistol from AR parts.

In today’s day and age with many people “building” or assembling AR’s out of random parts kits, reliable cycling can get tricky, especially when adding in suppressors.

Recently Brownell’s released their own spin on Eugene Stoner and Arthur Miller’s original AR-18/180 rifle which they called the BRN-180. After widespread desire for a shorter and lighter version, Brownell’s delivered with the newest iteration; the BRN180s.

The PCC market can be described as crowded. That’s a nice neutral way to say there are just tons and tons of them on the market. Most are 9mm, take Glock magazines, and use a straight blowback-operated system. Pretty simple and also very effective. Yet, JP Enterprises has released something a little different in the form of the JP5. The JP5 is a roller delayed PCC that makes both Stoner and HK proud.

I don’t spend all that much time talking about AR-15 upgrades, because I find that many bolt ons are basically chopper chrome. That is to say, they might look cool but actually don’t enhance performance. But today we are going to look at one that I have found to be worth your consideration. A thing that I use myself, and that I find to be worth the time and effort to install.

an impressive round that too often gets written off as being only good for magdumps and plinking. I use it on hogs and whitetail with excellent results and it’s ballistically comparable to 30-30. I love this round chambered in the familiar AR platform because it gives you a bit more power in a lighter package.
