In a tragic turn of events, a suburban mom was shot and killed while using an ATM over the weekend.
Authorities have filed first-degree murder charges against two suspects in connection with the case.
Dana Rebik of WGN has been closely following the story and reports that the suspects were apprehended and charged within 72 hours.
The crime spree stretched across Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana.
Johnny Angel Klein, a 32-year-old single mother of two from Worth, fell victim to the violence.
The suspects, 22-year-old Tamara Jailynn Johnson and 23-year-old Jason Jerry Joseph Johnson of Lafayette, Indiana, were captured on Sunday after an attempted robbery at the Chase Bank ATM on West 111th Street around 3 PM on Saturday.
Klein had just finished work and was with her son before the incident.

The Worth Police have linked the suspects to a series of armed robberies in the Chicago area and Northwest Indiana.
This includes an incident on October 29th at the Family Express gas station in DeMott. The Jasper County Sheriff’s Office has filed charges and issued warrants for the suspects.
Reeling from the shock, the community has set up a GoFundMe page to support Klein’s family.
The suspects are due in court for a bond hearing in Broadview.
