GOA Sues New Mexico Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham Over Albuquerque Firearm Ban

Gun Owners of America (GOA) and the Gun Owners Foundation (GOF) sued New Mexico Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham late Saturday.

The lawsuit claims the governor’s public health order unlawfully bans the carrying of firearms in Albuquerque, violating the U.S. Constitution.

The case was lodged in the U.S. District Court for the District of New Mexico. It includes a request for an immediate temporary restraining order.

Erich Pratt, GOA’s Senior Vice President, stated, “This is the most dangerous type of government wielded tyranny—the claim by politicians that there are supposedly ‘exceptions to the Second Amendment.’ But, they are quite wrong, and tyrants like Michelle Lujan Grisham can’t trash the Constitution whenever they see fit.”

“Gun Owners of America will stand firm and not rest until all those in New Mexico who played a role in this action are held accountable for this gross assault on our rights and our very system of self-government,” Pratt added.

Sam Paredes, on behalf of the board for GOF, added: “The thought of elected leaders claiming they have the authority to unilaterally suspend rights guaranteed under the Constitution during a designated ‘emergency’ is truly terrifying, and the very reason we the people are guaranteed the right to bear arms.”

“We’ve been saying for quite some time now that we will not rest until politicians fall in line with the law, but in this case, we would certainly hope that the people and lawmakers of New Mexico think long and hard about permanently removing this tyrant from office,” Paredes continued.

Grab’em by the balls Grisham is in the spot light again. You ask why?
She grabbed her much younger campaign manager by his balls and used campaign funds for attorney fee’s and to pay $150,000 settlement. She was big on the ME TOO cursade. Why are there no charges?
Must be because she’s a Democrap.

She needs to be arrested and be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. Enough is enough, when these government officials swear an oath to office, they swear to uphold and protect the law of the land. To do anything but is treason.

Judge Andrew Napolitano recently described this governor’s actions as a felony in violation of the Civil rights Act of 1964. Specifically is always a felony to violate 18 U.S.C. § 241. As such, she should immediately be arrested, booked, and prosecuted. The problem is, by whom?

If there is an “Emergency” then folks need to “Arm Up”, not Arm Down.

This governor with a wave of her pen has removed “Qualified Immunity” protections from all NM LEO’s and they are NOT such lemmings that they will risk life and liberty to back her latest illegal power grab. Hopefully as governor she has no “Qualified Immunity” and trip one of the legal mines she has buried,
