Magnum Research is bringing back a long-time favorite for 2020, the Baby Eagle. The Baby Eagle, a cousin to the CZ-75, will be offered in two sizes with two frame options in three calibers.

Magnum Research is rolling out a new cartridge for their Desert Eagle series of heavy-hitting handguns called 429 DE, based on 50 AE.

From Magnum Research this year, we have a mixed bag of new finishes and new firearms. Good news if you are a collector, the case hardened line has been extended. The 50 AE, 44 Magnum, and 357 Magnum models are all shipping now.

This week in honor of Veteran’s Day coming up, we had the opportunity to shed light on a worthy cause and spend some time on the range with two Magnum Research Desert Eagles.

The Desert Eagle is a unique and iconic firearm. Though the Deagle, as most die-hard fans refer to the gun, has long been associated with the nation of Israel, naturally a gun this manly was originally born in America. The US patent application for this gas-operated pistol was approved in January of 1983 under the auspices of Magnum Research Inc. The gun earned a second patent in December of 1985. After Israel Military Industries refined the design the gun went into volume production.

Magnum Research is well known for its big and powerful Desert Eagle pistols, but it has been taking a slightly different tack with new variants they were showing at SHOT Show 2017. While they are still big and powerful, Magnum Research has worked to make them lighter and more portable. Take a look at some of the interesting new offerings on show at SHOT Show 2017.

This week we are reviewing the Baby Desert Eagle III in .45 ACP, a perfect blend of Israeli military design with a good old American man killer in the magazine. The Baby Eagle III is a double action/single action (DA/SA) pistol in .45 ACP (or 9mm) with combat experience in the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF), and a lineage traceable through Israel and directly back to the renowned CZ-75 pistol. But let’s get to the real question. Is this gun that is made and Israel and imported by Magnum Research a cool gun? Why, yes. Yes, it is.
