Legacy Sports International Escort Shotguns: http://legacysports.com/

This Escort line of shotguns from Legacy Sports International is made in Turkey by Hatsan. It seems to be modelled after the Remington 1100 and since the brand has been in the market for several years, this appears to be an extremely mature product. The guy in the video is in one of those Sportsman’s Channel shows that those of us with Comcast, Direct TV, and most other cable/satelite systems don’t get, but he seems to have used the guns in the field quite a lot and believes in the quality of them. Googling around I found no bad reviews of them, and in general all the Turkish guns have been reliable and extremely well received. Hopefully we’ll get a review gun over the coming year and test these guns with a variety of hunting loads. They seem to be worth checking out if you are in the market for an auto-shotgun, and they do make tactical as well as hunting models.

I’ve owned two of these for a few years now, the Escort PS Magnums and they are great guns. I’ve never had a serious problem with them, every load I feed it cycles fine, from 3″ #4 buck magnums for coyotes to 2-3/4″ light trap loads for clays – it shoots them all. Sometimes with my newer version where the action release lever is on the bottom, a shell will get caught under the carrier arm when I hand cycle the action. It has done a few times and at 1st it was a pain to get it out – but then I learned to just push the round forward and into the mag and that works fine. Its a pain when it happens but it has never done it while I’m shooting. My older one where the release is a button on the side of the receiver has never done it. For the price these are an awesome shotgun and I’d buy another Escort without hesitation.

Presenters of firearms should not use the word “weapon” when describing a firearm that is used for sporting
activities. Weapon is something you use to protect your self or to take a life.

You think we should tell the sportsmans channel guy that first, or that only six people actually watch his show?

well guys think of it like this if a cop pulls you over and searchs you and you have a pocket knife that you use to say cut hay strings with when you feed your horses or to sharpen your carpenters pencil he will still refer to it as a weapon because it has weapon potential so i think he was ok refering to this gun as a weapon i meen if someone breaks in on you and this is the only gun laying there you would shoot them with it and this weapon would save your life
